Medical Credentialing Specialist

Job Description

Adirondack Radiology Associates, PC is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Physician Credentialing Specialist to manage the primary source verification, enrollment, and re-credentialing processes for our healthcare provider network. The ideal candidate will ensure all physicians meet federal, state, and institutional compliance standards while expediting the onboarding timeline.

Physician Credentialing Specialist Employment Type:
Variable (Expectation of 20-25 hours/week) Key Responsibilities
  • Verify physician education, training, board certifications, state licenses, and clinical history.
  • Coordinate, compile, and process complete credentialing and re-credentialing applications.
  • Submit and track enrollment applications to ensure timely participation in Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans.
  • Update internal tracking systems and CAQH profiles with absolute accuracy and strict data privacy.
  • Monitor expiration dates for state medical licenses, DEA certifications, malpractice insurance and CE credits.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years of dedicated healthcare credentialing or provider enrollment experience.
Certification:
Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) highly preferred.
Core Competencies:
Extreme attention to detail, strong communication skills, and comprehensive knowledge of NCQA, and CMS standards.

Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 25.0 per week
