The Crime Victims Center, Inc. is dedicated to the prevention and treatment of child sexual abuse, rape, and family violence and the provision of support services to victims of violent crime and elderly, minor, and disabled victims of all crime. Crime Victims Center, Inc. is committed to informing victims of their rights, involving them in the decision-making process, securing crime victim compensation to which they are entitled, and treating every victim with respect and dignity. We are dedicated to serving individuals, families, and communities impacted by crime, and working with stakeholders on programs to achieve our mutual goal of victim restoration and crime prevention. Our programs include Rape Crisis Counselor (RCC) response and Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SAFE) services for victims presenting in hospital emergency departments. In addition, CVC delivers curriculum based, evidence-informed prevention education to schools, colleges, and community organizations across Long Island. Position Overview The Prevention Education Program Supervisor oversees CVC's robust Prevention Education Program, supervising a team of prevention education coordinators and per-diem educators. This program provides more than 30 curriculum-based, evidence-informed workshops addressing: Child sexual abuse Adult sexual assault Healthy vs. unhealthy relationships Bystander engagement Internet safety Hate crimes Relevant New York State laws These age-appropriate workshops are delivered in public and private schools, community organizations, businesses, houses of worship, and institutions of higher education throughout Nassau and Suffolk County. The Program Manager will ensure the continued excellence of these programs, oversee the development of new curriculum and strategies for agency promotion, and maintain alignment with best practices in prevention education. Key Responsibilities Willingness to learn and be mentored. Desire to assume a leadership role. Supervise, train, and support prevention education staff and external educators. Manage program planning, delivery, and evaluation using agency performance measures. Oversee curriculum development, update, and maintain program materials to ensure they remain relevant, effective, and compliant with applicable laws, regulations, and agency initiatives. Cultivate and maintain partnerships with school administrators, PTAs, community organizations, leaders, and higher education institutions. Collaborate effectively with CVC leadership and executive staff to advance agency goals and strategic initiatives. Represent CVC at community meetings, trainings, and events across Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Prepare required reports, track program outcomes, and ensure compliance with grant and agency reporting standards. Support agency efforts to raise awareness of sexual violence, domestic violence, rape culture, and available prevention and victim services. All staff become NYS Certified RCCs and are required to respond to designated hospitals to educate sexual assault victims about their rights and options. You will be on call no more than 2x weekly for hotline and response. Support and assist agency fundraising initiatives. Manage agency equipment in line with agency standards.• Lead the development and execution of agency initiatives and community events that promote the Crime Victims Center. • Manage all agency social media.

Minimum Qualifications Education:

Master's Degree preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience. Documented experience in management and public speaking is required. Demonstrated experience in community outreach and/or program marketing. Strong skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills. Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with educational rights and regulations including those under Title IX, 129B, DASA, and best practices. Must be available to travel within Nassau and Suffolk Counties for presentations and meetings. Must be available to respond to acute sexual assault victims at Suffolk area hospitals. Excellent written communication skills for presentations, reports, and outreach. Skilled in data collection, program evaluation, and outcome measurement. Empathetic, compassionate, and resilient when working with sensitive topics. Flexible and adaptable in a fast-moving, community-driven environment. Passion for prevention, public safety, and victim's rights. Additional Requirements Ability to build strong, lasting partnerships with administrators, community leaders, and parents. Successful completion of all mandatory pre-employment screenings.
