Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in administration and discharge of clients Coordinate admissions with clinical, medical, nursing, detox, and administrative staff. Check in, secure, and return client's medication, belongings, and valuables per the procedure and policy book. Coordinate with referral agencies, hospitals, courts, community organizations, and other outside providers regarding potential admissions, within appropriate confidentiality requirements. Schedule and coordinate client arrivals, assessments, transportation arrangements, and admission appointments as appropriate. Conduct initial intake and screening conversations to gather necessary demographic, clinical, substance use, medical, and psychosocial information. Maintain accurate client records per the procedures and policy book. Respond promptly to incoming admissions inquiries by phone, email, referral platforms, and other approved communication methods. Participate in all mandatory meetings and in-service trainings. Obtain and verify information required to determine appropriate level of care and admission eligibility. Assist in cross-over with staff. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to lead groups, and manage therapeutic milieu. Knowledge of de-escalation methods, or ability to be trained. Knowledge of ASAM or ability to get within 90 days of employment. Ability to use EMR system, or ability to be trained. Must be able to function in a team setting, be flexible in attitude, and desire to work with individuals seeking detoxification. Ability to understand and follow oral directions. Minimum Qualifications First Aid training is desirable. Current CPR certification or the ability to obtain within 60-days of employment Knowledge of and/or experience with chemical dependency interventions and treatments. Moderate computer literacy Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, and background check. Must be able to climb stairs several times a day. Must adhere to agency's non-discrimination policy.
