Upper School Admissions Intern Serving students from 9th grade through post-graduate, the Admissions Intern is often the first point of contact for prospective families, welcoming them into our vibrant community of learners. This role requires providing exceptional guest service to students, families, and guests of the admissions team. A successful candidate will possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational abilities, an outgoing demeanor, an interest in social media outreach, and a collaborative mindset. Proficiency with computer systems—including Google Suite, database management, and social media platforms—is required.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Establish strong relationships with prospective and current students, families, faculty, and staff. Assist in executing admissions, marketing, and recruitment initiatives for the Upper School. Coordinate student re-enrollment in collaboration with the Director of Upper School Admission. Manage admissions database records and ensure data accuracy. Plan and execute admissions events, including Scholarship Day, 8th Grade Parent Social, Accepted Student Day, and Open Houses. Process student inquiries and applications efficiently. Maintain frequent contact with prospective families via phone and email. Lead campus tours for prospective students and their families. Coordinate and host student visit days. Prepare and send welcome mailings for newly enrolled students. Serve as the primary point of contact for admissions, fielding incoming phone calls and email inquiries and directing them to the appropriate team members. Participate in ongoing Finalsite system training. Maintain and expand the Finalsite family information portal. Send broadcast communications to prospective families regarding application status, tour confirmations, and connections with faculty or coaches. Compile and complete applicant files for Admissions Committee review. Build relationships, schedule and manage student leaders and volunteers assisting with tours and student visits. Assist with general administrative and operational duties in the admissions office as needed Participate in weekly admissions team meetings. Represent the Wyoming Seminary Admissions team at community events for prospective students.
Expected Hours of Work :
Full-Time Position:
40 hours/week. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as needed. This is a one-year position with the potential for extension.
