Job Description

Job Overview Yardley Makefield Soccer is a nationally-recognized soccer club, providing full programming to all levels of participation in the sport of soccer, from youth intramural programs, through high-level national travel soccer. YMS is committed to furthering the awareness, interest and participation in the sport of soccer, while continuing to drive success at all levels through: consistent, forward-focused leadership; professional execution of proven methodologies; innovation with a high level of quality; and consistent, positive communication throughout the club and community YMS is seeking a self driven and organized Soccer Operations Manager to assist the Director of Coaching, Age Group Coordinators and the YMS Board of Directors with the day to day operations of the club. The Soccer Operations Manager will report to the DOC and the BOD and be responsible for furthering the goals of the club and providing a consistent experience for all players in the program. Roles & Responsibilities of the
YMS Soccer Operations Manager:
1.
General Oversight:
Oversee all soccer-related operations, working closely with the Director of Coaching (DOC) to implement club goals. Assist the BOD with any matters pertaining to club activities or its members Review all critical soccer decisions with the Director of Coaching prior to implementation, including but not limited to, disciplinary procedures, termination, hiring, fee setting/changes, salary setting/changes Assist in reviewing and updating YMS soccer programs to ensure they align with the club's holistic player development goals. Develop and manage a trainer schedule for practices and game days. Ensure conflicts are minimized, and alternative arrangements are made well in advance. 2. Assist Age Group Coordinators (AGCs) in their Roles, in conjunction with DOC Provide direction for managing team, player, and parent expectations, as well as navigating potential conflicts among the same group. Assist Age Group Coordinators with conflict resolution and division of responsibility of volunteers and staff 3.
Support Club Development Plans:
Club Philosophy Plan:
Assist the DOC in reviewing and updating the club mission to reflect leadership, staff, and principles, and help ensure the updated mission is effectively communicated to all members.
Player Development Plan:
Support the DOC in creating and implementing an Individual Player Development Plan that includes Style of Play, Game Model, and methodology.
Coaching Development Plan:
Support the DOC in implementing a structured coaching development process.
Parent Engagement Plan:
Develop training for staff to foster effective communication and collaboration with parents, ensuring they understand the club's goals and methodologies. 6.
Volunteer Management:
Oversee the approval and assignment of volunteer coaches, working closely with AGDs and the DOC to ensure volunteers are aligned with club standards. 7.
Communication Protocols:
Routine, regular communication to all AGCs and BOD regarding soccer related issues Communicate soccer specific procedures to AGCs for them to communicate within their age groups (i.e game, practice, and event scheduling procedures) Provide DOC reports, as required, in the absence of the DOC Other duties as assigned by the DOC and BOD Attend monthly GMM and BOD meetings as required Applicants should possess strong verbal and written communication skills. They should be driven to complete tasks with little or no oversight. Applicants should have excellent time management skills and be able to coordinate schedules with the DOC and BOD. Experience in child development or a background in education is a plus. The position is a part time salaried job. The job includes flexible work from home hours as well as time in the office. The job may require unconventional hours, including nights and weekends.
Pay:
$28,000.00 per year
