Job Description

Admission Associate This is a long-term substitute position.
Timeframe:
Approximately early November to the first week of March, 2027.
Position Summary:
The Admission Associate supports the daily work of the Admission Of ice. This role provides administrative support to the Director of Admission and Communications and serves as the primary receptionist for Marshall House. This role requires strong organizational skills, sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic school environment. Hours:
8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Reporting Structure
  • Reports to: Director of Admission and Communications
  • Collaborates closely with: Office Manager, Faculty and Staff, Admission and Advancement Offices Faculty and Staff at Wyndcroft are Expected to:

  • Engage in ongoing professional growth. Key Responsibilities
  • Admission Office Support ○ Provide administrative support to the Director of Admission and Communications in the implementation of the school's admission and enrollment efforts.
○ Assist with scheduling admission tours and managing prospective family communications. ○ Maintain and update admission records and data in the school's admissions management system. ○ Support admission and development events, including open houses and other community outreach initiatives. ○ Assist with admission and communications materials, including updates to the school website and marketing materials. ○ Coordinate the collection of student records for newly enrolled students. ○ Serve as a welcoming presence for prospective families visiting Marshall House.
  • Reception and Administrative Support ○ Manage the reception area in Marshall House and serve as the primary point of contact for visitors.
○ Monitor the Marshall House entrance and ensure proper visitor sign-in procedures. ○ Answer and direct incoming telephone calls and respond to general inquiries. ○ Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area. ○ Provide administrative support including document preparation, filing, correspondence, and scheduling support. ○ Serve as a backup to the Office Manager for attendance and dismissal procedures when needed. ○ Assist with logistics for parent conferences, meetings, and school events.   • High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, families, faculty, and staff.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and school administrative systems and databases. Education and Qualifications
  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum three years of administrative or school-based experience preferred.
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
  • Demonstrated cultural competence and commitment to inclusivity and belonging.
  • Experience in independent schools or nonprofit organizations is desirable. Physical and Psychological Demands
  • Ability to work in a busy office environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to supervise students.
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to move throughout campus as needed.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work occasional extended hours during school events.
