Required Degree:

PhD in a humanistic field with evidence of interdisciplinary training or scholarly/teaching interests. The required degree must be completed by the start date.

Experience:

Candidates must demonstrate training or scholarly/teaching interests in Art History and/or Visual Culture Studies. Evidence of an active research and publishing profile is expected.

Duties/Expectations:

Teach General Education and program courses in one or more of our sections: Art History, Interdisciplinary Humanities, and Comparative Literature. As a professorial position, this ten-month annual contract expects the following: Teaching load of 6 courses with a typical teaching assignment of 2 or 3 courses fall semester, 2 or 3 courses winter semester, and 1 course spring or summer term. Maintain an active research and publishing profile Mentor undergraduate and graduate research. Participate in faculty meetings and other academic discussions.
