Job Description
Foreign Language Cottleville, MO, USA $956.00 per credit hour Part-time Faculty (adjunct) Founded in 1986, St. Charles Community College (SCC) has a reputation as one of the best two-year colleges in the state of Missouri. SCC's service area includes a six-county region with a population exceeding 540,000. SCC's main campus, located in Cottleville, has won architectural awards for its innovative, contemporary design. The college's Dardenne Creek Campus features the Center for Healthy Living and the Field to Table Institute. Opening Fall 2025, the Innovation West Campus located in Wentzville features the Regional Workforce Innovation Center. SCC invites qualified candidates to apply for our part-time faculty position to teach Spanish this upcoming semester, and possibly future semesters. The position may teach in-person or online courses; preference given to candidates able to teach on-campus courses of introductory and/or intermediate Spanish. Part-time appointments made on a semester-by-semester (as needed) basis.
Qualifications:
A Master's degree in Spanish, or a Master's in a related field and at least 18 hours of graduate level Spanish coursework is required; Ph.D. preferred. Prior teaching experience and/or liaison to local high schools preferred. Translation/interpretation experience is a plus, as is a master's degree in an additional language and/or education.
