Must possess a J.D. degree, along with a strong academic record. Must have exceptional legal research and writing skills. Ability to foster student learning, development, and decision making a must. Two or more years of experience in a clerkship and/or in law practice. Prior teaching experience preferred.

Description:
Creighton University School of Law invites applicants for a visiting assistant professor position to teach in the Law School's legal research and writing (LRW) program. Teach two or three courses in the fall and spring semester in Creighton's LRW program. The program consists of three required semesters of legal research and writing classes. In the fall semester, the LRW faculty teach a 3-credit, upper-level writing course to 2Ls, focusing on appellate brief writing, oral argument, and contract drafting, and a 2-credit, entry-level research and writing course to 1Ls, introducing legal research and objective legal analysis. In the spring semester, the LRW faculty teach a 3-credit, research and writing course that includes demand letters, the drafting of pleadings and discovery, and pretrial motion practice.
