Creighton University School of Law in Omaha, Nebraska seeks to hire at least one full-time faculty member. The Law school has particular needs in Tax, Estate Planning, Wills & Trusts, Sports & Entertainment Law and is also interested in candidates with backgrounds in Labor & Employment Law, Business Finance & Planning, and Real Estate & Property Law. Candidates with strong backgrounds in other areas also may be considered. The position is tenure eligible. The Law School is primarily seeking entry-level candidates but will also consider lateral candidates. Founded in 1904, the Law School is a dynamic community of scholars, students, and staff who share a common mission to collectively improve our society. As a key component of one of the nation's oldest Catholic, Jesuit universities, the Law School promotes social justice in all its forms. Student formation occurs in a collaborative environment stressing the intellectual and ethical development of new attorneys while emphasizing a holistic duty of care that should be extended to every client. The Law School offers multiple study abroad and joint degree programs, including its JD/Master's in Government Organization and Leadership (GOAL) which places students in externships at federal agencies in Washington D.C. Situated at the center of Creighton University's vibrant urban campus near the downtown financial corridor, CHI Health Center Arena, and the Old Market, the Law School is home to the Omaha Bar Association, the Werner Institute for Dispute Resolution, and several offices of the Nebraska State Bar Association.
