Schedule:
This position has specific time restraints due to the availability of the classroom where physical work will take place. Under the supervision and assistance of the Senior Lecturer of Music, it involves moving heavy equipment and setting up chairs and music stands before scheduled classes/rehearsals. The room is used prior to these rehearsals for academic classes, restricting when the room can be reset. This position requires the student worker to be available on Mondays between 5 and 6 pm, Tuesdays from 6•6:30 pm, and Wednesdays from 5:45•6:30 pm.
Responsibilities:
Setting up the rehearsal space for the Jazz Band on Mondays, between 5 and 6 pm, in Levine Hall, room 100. Setting up the rehearsal space (Levine Hall, room 100) for orchestra, on Tuesday evenings, from 6•6:30 pm, and breaking down/resetting for academic classes after the rehearsal has concluded. Setting up the rehearsal space (Levine Hall, room 100) for the college band on Wednesday evenings, from 5:45•6:30 pm. Filing music for each ensemble; Levine Hall, room G-6, when needed, time TBD Preparing music folders for each ensemble, room G-6, when needed, time TBD Making copies and hanging flyers as needed
Requirements:
Current undergraduate student at McDaniel College. Availability during the timeframes listed in the Schedule section of this position. Ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
