921 SW 39th Terrace, Cape Coral, FL 33914 Step into a fast-paced role as a Library Associate, where you'll keep library materials organized and moving, assist patrons in locating resources, and help ensure an efficient, customer-focused library experience. If you're dependable, adaptable, organized, and enjoy providing excellent service, you'll thrive in this role. What You'll Do Plan and deliver engaging programs for adults Help create eye-catching library displays Support the development and upkeep of the branch's collection Provide courteous, knowledgeable customer service to library patrons Assist with reference and readers' advisory using print and digital tools Promote library services through outreach to community organizations Help patrons navigate internet and electronic resources Operate library equipment, including computers, self-checks, copiers, and cash registers Address basic facility issues and collaborate with staff on solutions To succeed in this role, you'll need strong communication and customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. You should be comfortable assisting library patrons, handling multiple priorities, and adapting to changing daily needs. Initiative, reliability, flexibility, and a willingness to learn are essential. Minimum Qualifications A combination of education and experience equivalent to an Associate's Degree or two years of college coursework Two (2) years of customer service or closely related experience Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. One (1) year of experience in a library setting A valid
Florida Driver's License Work Schedule:
Part-time, 40 hours biweekly. Schedule varies and includes evenings, Saturdays, and some Sundays.
Location Flexibility:
Employees may be temporarily or permanently assigned to other library locations within the system based on operational needs.
