Library Assistant, Franklin Public Library (Franklin)
The Town of Franklin is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Library Assistant with a passion for excellent customer service.
The Library Assistant supports circulation, interlibrary loan, cash-handling, and desk duties as well as plans and implements a variety of programs, special projects and programming support. Duties include general circulation tasks, basic reference & technology assistance, programming, cataloging interlibrary loan, and support activities in all areas of library operations.
Computer profi ciency and facility with Microsoft Offi ce applications/Google Suite is expected. Curiosity and the desire to learn and support all aspects of library work, new technology and program development.
The ideal candidate will hold a High School diploma, an Associate Degree or Bachelor's degree is preferred, will be fl exible, creative, self-motivated, and will possess the ability to establish rapport with patrons of all ages.
