Position Summary:

We are seeking a SAT Prep/Math Interventionist to provide targeted instruction and support to high school students. This role involves developing and implementing engaging SAT math preparation, as well as providing small-group and individual math intervention to address specific learning gaps. The ideal candidate will be skilled at assessing student needs, tracking progress, and collaborating with staff and parents to ensure student success. Key Responsibilities SAT Preparation:

Develop and deliver targeted instruction for the math section of the SAT. This includes teaching key concepts, test-taking strategies, and time management skills.

Math Intervention:

Work with small groups of students and individuals to address specific learning gaps in foundational math skills. Create customized lesson plans based on student needs, diagnostic assessments, and curriculum standards.

Student Assessment and Progress Tracking:

Administer diagnostic tests and other assessments to identify student strengths and weaknesses. Utilize data tools and maintain proficiency in data tracking to monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed to ensure continuous improvement.

Collaboration:

Partner with classroom teachers, parents, and other staff members to support student success. Attend data meetings to discuss student performance and collaborate on strategies to address academic challenges. Provide regular updates on student progress.

Resource Development:

Create or select high-quality instructional materials, practice problems, and study guides to support student learning.

Qualifications Education:

A Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related STEM field. 2.

Subject Matter & Test Expertise Core Secondary Math Proficiency:

Comprehensive mastery of middle school math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus.

Digital SAT Mastery:

Deep familiarity with the Digital SAT Math structure, timing, specific domain weightings (Algebra, Advanced Math, Problem-Solving/Data Analysis, Geometry/Trigonometry), and strategy implementation (e.g., maximizing efficiency using Desmos).

Diagnostic & Standardized Data Literacy:

Experience analyzing

PSAT, NWEA

MAP, SAT, or state diagnostic data to isolate core skill gaps and track progress over time. 3.

Instructional & Pedagogical Experience Teaching Experience:

1 to 3+ years of classroom teaching, small-group tutoring, or formal intervention experience working with adolescents.

MTSS/RTI

Delivery:

Proven ability to deliver Multi-Tiered System of Supports (Tier 2 targeted intervention and Tier 3 intensive remediation). 4.

Interpersonal & Professional Skills Patience & Motivation:

Ability to build rapport with struggling learners, reduce "math anxiety," and boost confidence for high-stakes testing.

Adaptability:

Skill in translating complex high-school level concepts into accessible, multi-sensory steps using conceptual visual tools or structured scaffolding.

Collaboration:

Capacity to work alongside core math teachers, school counselors, and administrators to align intervention material with standard classroom pacing. :
