Qualifications and Experience:

Valid and active Professional Educator License (PEL) required Previous experience teaching middle school or 8th grade math strongly preferred Ability to design and implement engaging, standards-based mathematics lessons Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to creating a positive learning environment Collaborative approach to work with colleagues, support staff, and leadership Commitment to meeting diverse learning needs and adapting instruction as necessary

Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver comprehensive 8th grade math lessons aligned to curriculum standards Support students in mastering foundational and advanced math concepts Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and interventions as needed Participate in school meetings, professional development, and grade-level team activities Foster connections with families to support student success Maintain accurate records and timely communication regarding student achievement Imagine making a difference, seeing students grow in confidence and proficiency, and building meaningful relationships in a vibrant school community.
