9601775-70058 Job Description Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting high school students in math instruction with a full-time, contract position beginning as soon as possible and running through late May 2027. This role is located near Harvey, LA, in the vibrant New Orleans area. You'll play an integral role in student achievement, bringing your expertise as a certified general education math teacher to the classroom setting.

What were looking for:

Active Louisiana DOE Certification in General Education Math required (temporary or in-process certifications cannot be accepted) Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to adapt instruction to diverse high school learners Previous experience teaching high school-level math is highly desirable Commitment to meeting all district and agency credentialing standards, including drug screening and fingerprinting Key responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging math lessons aligned with curriculum standards for high school students Foster a supportive, inclusive environment that encourages student participation and success Assess, monitor, and document student progress, adjusting instruction as necessary Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to enhance student learning outcomes Participate in professional development and school community activities as outlined in the school calendar Adhere to all school and district policies and professional expectations This full-time assignment offers 35 hours each week (7 hours per day plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch), Monday through Friday during the academic calendar.
