Job Description

Category Schools - General Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make an impact by engaging high school students in the world of mathematics while working in a supportive and collaborative educational environment. A dedicated full-time Algebra I educator is needed for an onsite contract assignment at a high school in the Reserve, LA area, running from ASAP through May 26, 2027. This position allows you to inspire and mentor students, helping them build a strong mathematical foundation.
Desired Qualifications:
Current Louisiana Math Educator Certificate with authorization for High School grade levels Proven experience teaching Algebra I or similar math courses at the high school level Strong classroom management abilities and excellent communication skills Passion for creating engaging math lessons that cater to diverse learning styles Ability to collaborate with other educators on curriculum and individualized instruction
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver lessons for Algebra I, adapting instruction to meet student needs Evaluate student progress using a range of assessment strategies Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding academic progress and classroom events Participate in school meetings, professional development, and collaborative planning sessions This opportunity offers a consistent, full-time schedule of 35 hours per week, allowing you to build lasting connections with students and staff.
