Job Description
SUMMARY:
Notre Dame Jr/Sr High School is seeking a dynamic and passionate Math Teacher to join our dedicated faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a range of high school math courses, fostering students' mathematical understanding and appreciation. This position requires a strong commitment to the integration of faith and values into the curriculum and classroom environment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement engaging and rigorous math curricula aligned with state standards and the school's mission.
- Create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student growth and development.
- Use effective teaching methods and strategies to differentiate instruction and meet the diverse needs of all learners.
- Assess student learning through a variety of methods, including formative and summative assessments, projects, and presentations.
- Provide regular and constructive feedback to students and parents regarding academic progress.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student success.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current in math education pedagogy and content.
- Integrate Catholic values and teachings into the curriculum and classroom environment, demonstrating a commitment to the school's mission.
- Contribute to the mathematics department and the broader school community.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics (Master's preferred).
- Valid teaching certification in Mathematics preferred.
- Experience teaching high school mathematics.
- Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and pedagogy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create engaging and motivating learning experiences.
- Commitment to student well-being and character development.
- Understanding and appreciation of Catholic values and beliefs.
