Part Time Instructor - Mathematics Dual Credit Brenham High School The Blinn College District is searching for a Part Time Instructor - Mathematics Dual Credit Brenham High School. Primary Duties and Responsibilities are listed below: Job Summary Perform part-time operations of the instructional program at Brenham ISD. Principal Accountabilities Teach courses among
MATH - 1314, 1316, 1324, 1325, 1332, 1342, 1350, 1351, 2305, 2318, 2320, 2412, 2413, 2414, 2415
as needed by Brenham ISD in alignment with departmental, College, and State requirements. Maintain office hours as defined by Blinn College. Prepare course syllabus which shall include stated objectives for the course, following departmental and curriculum resource team requirements. Stay current on developments regarding instructional methodology. Maintain and provide, through the proper modalities, a grade evaluation on each student's performance in a timely fashion with the frequency required by Blinn College and in alignment with College and departmental requirements. Perform other Mathematics program related tasks and attend part-time faculty meetings as assigned. Minimum Qualifications/Required Degree, License or Certifications Master's degree or higher with at least 18 graduate hours in mathematics or statistics. Must a current employee of Brenham ISD. Minimum Competencies Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other instructors, staff, administration and students. Ability to instruct students while achieving the course learning objectives. Preferred Qualifications College teaching experience desirable. Preferred Competencies Training or coursework in mathematics pedagogy. Special Notes To Applicants Applicant will teach mathematics courses at Brenham High School for Blinn College. Applicant must be a current Brenham ISD faculty. Applications lacking a cover letter, resume, and transcripts will be considered incomplete and may not be reviewed. Additionally, transcripts may be sent electronically to lisa.leopold@blinn.edu . All foreign transcripts must be accompanied by a credential evaluation from a certified agency. A short teaching demonstration will be required if applicant is selected for interview.
