Middle School Math Interventionist - Part-Time Job Summary UpReach Learning is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Part-Time Middle School Math Interventionist to support students and mathematics teachers during the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will work directly with middle school students in small-group settings to strengthen mathematical skills, improve problem-solving abilities, and address learning gaps in grade-level mathematics.

Part-Time Middle School Math Interventionist Schedule:

Monday-Friday, during school hours About the Position The Middle School Math Interventionist will provide targeted academic support to students in grades 6-8, helping them develop the foundational and grade-level mathematics skills needed for academic success. The interventionist will collaborate with multiple math teachers throughout the school day to reinforce classroom instruction, support diverse learning needs, and monitor student progress in key mathematical concepts. Responsibilities Provide targeted math intervention and academic support to students in grades 6-8. Work with small groups of students to strengthen foundational and grade-level mathematics skills. Support number sense, fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios, proportions, and expressions. Reinforce concepts related to algebra, geometry, measurement, and data analysis. Develop students' mathematical reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Collaborate with multiple math teachers and school staff to address student learning needs. Monitor, document, and communicate student progress. Help identify learning gaps and provide targeted support based on individual student needs. Reinforce classroom lessons, assignments, and grade-level mathematics standards. Maintain a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. Strong knowledge of middle school mathematics, particularly grades 6-8. Understanding of foundational math concepts, grade-level standards, and problem-solving strategies. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with small groups of middle school students. Ability to collaborate with multiple teachers and school staff. Commitment to helping students improve their mathematical understanding and academic performance.
