Students may not work during any time when they have a class scheduled, a class is canceled, or a class ends early.

We are looking for someone who will be an "active participant" in the student learning process. Essential Functions A Teaching Assistant (TA) is expected to assist the instructor in the classroom as requested by the instructor. Responsibilities may include equipment setup and/or operation (e.g., running slide decks during lectures), facilitating student presentations, answering student questions during labs, pre-grading assessments, submitting attendance sheets, etc. TAs are expected to assist with grading outside the classroom, meet regularly with the instructor, and may be required to meet with students outside class to answer questions as needed. Other duties as assigned by instructor. TAs will meet weekly with the instructor for performance feedback and duty modification and will receive a full evaluation once per semester. Duties and Responsibilities Classroom setup
Technical help with programs... Toon Boom Harmony or TV Paint
Doing draw-overs for students & a solid understanding of the 12 Animation Principles
Assisting students in labs and during published office hours
Meeting students online, if required
Providing constructive feedback for the students
Accountable for tracking and reporting the amount of time worked
Working with other TAs & possibly covering for other class times
General help and working with instructors Qualifications/Competencies Have proven proficiency with the course material
Strong 2D drawing skills & a good understanding of staging
Possess a positive attitude toward learning and a willingness to help others excel
Be comfortable interacting with other students on an instructional level as a mentor
Arrive on time and be prepared to attend with complete focus during work hours
Successfully completed ANI-398 and
ANI-1000
with a B+ or higher
Comfortable with various programs
Able to give critique in a professional manner
Strong communicator
Reliable, punctual, and invested in the success of their fellow students
Be able to work independently
Understanding of 3D Maya a plus, but not required (for last assignment only) Expected dates of employment: September 3
- December 4, 2026 Expected number of hours per week: ~10 per week (no more than 15, but check with the instructor first about budget & their requirements, please!)
- Once again, students are not permitted to work during any time when they are scheduled for a class.
- Wage Range: $17.13
