Each position will have a 9-month academic appointment that begins in Fall 2027. Successful candidates are expected to teach graduate and undergraduate classes, conduct scholarly research, work with PhD students, and provide service to the profession. The primary mode of teaching and research is in-person. The Mays Business School and the James Benjamin Department of Accounting offer a collegial culture and faculty that perennially ranks as one of the most productive in the world for archival accounting research (BYU Accounting Rankings). The department offers an integrated program that confers both undergraduate and master's degrees as well as stand-alone master's degrees through our in-person or Flex Online programs. Our programs benefit from strong partnerships with public accounting firms and corporations.
