After-School CounselorMake a Difference Every Afternoon! Are you energetic, creative, and passionate about working with children? As an After-School Counselor , you'll help create a safe, welcoming, and exciting environment where children can learn, grow, build friendships, and have fun after the school day ends. Every day is different—from helping with homework and leading games to creating crafts and making kids smile. If you're looking for a rewarding job where you can truly make an impact, this is it! What You'll Do Supervise and ensure the safety of children during after-school hours and on non-school days. Plan and lead fun, engaging activities including arts & crafts, sports, STEM projects, games, theater, and outdoor play. Assist children with homework and encourage a love for learning. Build positive relationships while encouraging kindness, teamwork, and confidence. Use positive behavior management techniques to create a respectful and supportive environment. Communicate with parents, teachers, and fellow staff members about children's progress and needs. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment. Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow all safety procedures. What We're Looking For Experience working with children in a childcare center, school, camp, tutoring program, or similar setting is preferred. A positive attitude, patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with kids. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to manage groups of children while keeping activities fun and engaging. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain after hire). Completion of the Florida DCF 45-Hour Child Care Training (or willingness to complete upon hire). Ability to pass a Level 2 Background Screening.
