This contract position focuses on providing specialized support and instruction tailored to help a visually impaired student succeed academically and develop essential life skills. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through May 21, 2027, offering consistency and a meaningful chance to make a difference.

Requirements:

Valid TVI (Teacher for the Visually Impaired) certification in the state of Georgia Experience supporting elementary-age students in educational settings Strong ability to adapt instructional strategies for individual needs Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

Deliver direct, individualized instruction to an elementary student with visual impairment Work on-site one day per week for 1-2 hours, providing specialized educational support and ensuring accessibility of curriculum materials Collaborate with school staff, the students team, and family to design and implement appropriate accommodations Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instruction as needed Assist in developing strategies to foster independence and self-advocacy skills for the student This role offers the flexibility of a minimal weekly time commitment while making a meaningful impact in a childs educational journey.
