Position Overview:

Schedule B-2 Student Council Sponsor is responsible for creating a safe and engaging afterschool environment for students. This role is aimed at providing a positive and welcoming atmosphere where students can participate in various subject related activities that promote growth, learning, and social development. The program is designed to ensure students feel included, supported, and safe.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and engage students during afterschool activities to maintain a safe, fun, and inclusive environment.

Plan and facilitate various structured and unstructured activities that promote student interaction and development.

Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging respect, collaboration, and positive behavior.

Monitor student well-being, ensuring they are safe and comfortable at all times.

Communicate with parents and guardians as necessary, providing updates on student activities and behavior.

Assist in managing any behavioral issues, ensuring that all students are treated fairly and respectfully.

Collaborate with other staff and team members to organize events and activities that enhance the afterschool program.

Ensure that all activities comply with safety regulations and district policies.

Qualifications:

Previous experience working with students in a group setting (preferred).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to create an engaging and positive environment for all students.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Schedule:

After school hours and may include weekend events (specific times may vary based on school schedule).
