This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to foster positive youth development, facilitate enriching activities, and support children's social and emotional growth. As a key member of our team, you will implement structured programs that promote learning, creativity, and teamwork while ensuring the safety and well-being of every child in your care. Responsibilities Supervise children during before and after school hours, ensuring their safety at all times through effective child supervision and behavior management techniques. Plan, organize, and lead engaging youth group activities, including arts and crafts, sports, outdoor games, and educational projects that promote childhood development. Maintain a positive classroom environment by implementing classroom management strategies that encourage respectful behavior and active participation. Follow first aid protocols and be prepared to respond promptly to medical emergencies using CPR or AED when necessary. Collaborate with school staff, parents, and fellow team members to support each child's individual needs, including those requiring special education accommodations. Facilitate outdoor work activities safely while promoting physical activity and outdoor exploration. Document daily activities, attendance records, and incident reports accurately to ensure clear communication and compliance with program standards. Skills Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including daycare or camp experience. Strong classroom management skills combined with behavior management expertise to foster a respectful and productive environment. Knowledge of first aid procedures, CPR certification, AED operation, and first aid protocols to ensure child safety in emergencies. Experience in youth development programs or youth group activity facilitation with a focus on childhood development principles. Ability to lead outdoor activities safely while encouraging teamwork and physical activity. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with parents, school staff, and team members effectively. Background in special education or experience working with children with diverse needs is a plus. Pay:
