Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Middle School History Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a love for history and social studies. In this role, you will develop engaging curricula, deliver compelling lessons, and create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking. Your expertise will help students connect historical events to contemporary issues, cultivating informed and responsible citizens. Responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating innovative instructional strategies and learning technology tools. Deliver engaging lectures and facilitate interactive discussions to deepen students' understanding of historical concepts, geography, civics, and related topics. Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, providing timely feedback to support continuous improvement. Incorporate research, primary sources, and multimedia resources to enrich lessons and promote critical analysis. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment. Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects, school initiatives, and curriculum development efforts. Support students' literacy education by integrating writing skills, creative writing exercises, and standardized testing preparation into lessons. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in History, Education, or a related field; higher education teaching experience preferred. Proven classroom management skills with experience working with middle school students in diverse settings. Excellent communication skills combined with organizational skills for lesson planning and instructional delivery.
