We provide a fun, energetic, and inspiring environment where students explore technology, build confidence, and discover their inner hacker. Our mission is to empower future coders through creativity, problem‑solving, and hands‑on learning. Position Overview As a STEM Instructor , you will mentor students through hands‑on coding projects, games, and creative challenges. You'll work with small groups or 1‑on‑1, guiding kids through a variety of technologies based on your skills, interests, and availability. After‑School STEM Instructor (2-10 hrs/week, weekday afternoons or Saturday mornings) Responsibilities Teach and mentor kids ages 7-18 in coding and STEM topics Lead students through projects using Scratch, Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Java, C#, Robotics, Raspberry Pi, Unity, and more Support students in creating apps, games, and interactive projects Communicate with parents—many of whom work in top tech companies in the Triangle Maintain a safe, positive, and inspiring learning environment Help grow the next generation of coders by sharing your passion for technology Requirements Availability for the consistent weekly schedule (After‑School Instructor) Attend training prior to teaching Working knowledge of Scratch, Python, and JavaScript Strong logical thinking and general tech fluency Patience, clarity, and enthusiasm when working with kids
Pay:
$14.00 - $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 2.0 - 10.0 per week
