Header Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive Spanish language curricula aligned with educational standards and AP (Advanced Placement) program requirements. Create interactive lessons utilizing learning technology and digital resources to enhance language acquisition and cultural competence. Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and ensure inclusive classroom experiences for all students. Manage classroom behavior effectively, fostering a respectful environment conducive to active participation and social-emotional development. Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing, and provide timely feedback to students and parents. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, instructional design, and school-wide initiatives to promote consistent educational excellence. Engage in ongoing professional development related to linguistics, literacy education, educational technology integration, and classroom management best practices. Header Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Education, Linguistics or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Valid teaching certification or licensure for middle school education with a focus on language instruction. Proven experience teaching middle school students in a classroom setting, ideally within private or independent schools. Strong knowledge of curriculum development, AP style standards, Chicago Manual of Style guidelines, and copy editing techniques. Demonstrated ability to incorporate learning technology and IT-integrated lessons into daily instruction. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, students, and parents. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures, behavior management strategies, and educational compliance regulations.
