Job Description West Valley Central School District is seeking a student-centered Mathematics Teacher to provide engaging, standards-aligned instruction for students in grades 5-9. The successful candidate will build strong relationships with students and collaborate with colleagues to support achievement and vertical alignment. Why West Valley? Job Qualifications Responsibilities Include Provide engaging and differentiated mathematics instruction in grades 5-9 Use assessment data to guide instruction, intervention, and enrichment Collaborate with colleagues through PLCs and support vertical curriculum alignment Maintain a positive, structured, and student-centered classroom Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues Qualifications Candidates must hold or be eligible for NYS certification appropriate for teaching Mathematics in grades 5-9, including: Childhood Education (1-6) with Mathematics 7-9 Extension Mathematics (7-12) with Grades 5-6 Extension Mathematics (5-9) certification or other appropriate NYS certification Candidates eligible and willing to obtain the appropriate extension are encouraged to apply. Middle-level mathematics and/or Algebra I experience preferred.
