Split Shift Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic School Age Before and After School Teacher to join our team in Central Falls, RI. This full-time position involves working split shifts to provide quality care and educational support to school-age children before and after school hours. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment that promotes the social, emotional, and academic growth of children. Key Responsibilities Supervise and engage school-age children during before and after school hours. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support learning and development. Ensure a safe and positive environment for all children in the program. Assist with homework and provide academic support as needed. Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding children's progress and needs. Maintain accurate attendance and activity records. Follow all licensing and program policies and procedures. Qualifications Experience working with school-age children in a before and after school setting preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work split shifts and maintain flexibility in scheduling. Patience, creativity, and a genuine interest in child development. CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in early childhood or education is a plus. Work Schedule This position requires working split shifts to cover before school hours and after school hours, totaling between 37.5 and 40 hours per week.
