Part-Time Lower School Teacher (Elementary) Gateway Academy - Brentwood, TN (Maryland Farms) Gateway Academy is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Part-Time Lower School Teacher to join our team. Gateway Academy offers a unique educational environment centered around individualized, one-on-one instruction . Our teachers have the opportunity to truly get to know their students, understand how they learn best, and provide personalized academic support that helps them grow in both skill and confidence. We are looking for an educator who loves working with elementary-aged students and is comfortable teaching across multiple subject areas.

Maryland Farms Pay:

$22-$24 per hour, based on experience

Position Type:

In-person What You'll Do Provide individualized instruction to elementary-aged students in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies Adapt lessons and teaching strategies to meet each student's individual learning needs Help students strengthen academic skills, organization, study habits, and confidence Build positive and encouraging relationships with students Communicate with Gateway Academy staff regarding student progress and academic needs Maintain accurate student records and documentation Create a supportive, engaging, and professional learning environment What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field Elementary teaching experience strongly preferred Experience working with students in an individualized or small-group setting is a plus Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to teach multiple elementary subject areas A patient, encouraging, and student-centered approach Dependable, punctual, and professional Ability to work collaboratively as part of the Gateway Academy team This is an in-person position at our Brentwood location. Remote work is not available. All applicants are subject to a background check and drug screening.
