Job Summary The Center for Middle Georgia Studies seeks a motivated and detail-oriented student worker to assist with various research, administrative, and event planning tasks. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in academic research, community engagement, and project management. Responsibilities Assist with research projects focused on the region Organize and catalog archival materials Help maintain databases of regional information Support event planning for lectures, workshops, or conferences Assist with social media and website updates Transcribe interviews or historical documents Conduct literature reviews on Middle Georgia topics Help prepare reports or presentations Assist Faculty Fellows, researchers or scholars Support community outreach initiatives Perform clerical or data entry tasks and file important documents accordingly. Maintain all work areas in a clean and organized manner. Maintain his/her academic work load while handling a work study job opportunity. Must be dependable and prompt. Must adhere to the code of confidentiality. Be cordial to all staff, faculty and visitors entering the office. Required Qualifications Minimum GPA of 2.0 Currently enrolled student at Middle Georgia State University for at least 6 credit hours Students must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities A student worker must have knowledge of computers and different software programs. Any prior job experience in an office environment is helpful, but not necessary. Student is required to retain Family Education Rights & Privacy Act (FERPA) confidentiality.
