The overall purpose of this position is to assist the NIBCO Manager with the daily operations of NIBCO Ice and Water Park. The Assistant Manager provides on-site leadership during assigned shifts, supervises seasonal staff, supports facility safety and customer service, and assists with business operations including admissions, concessions, inventory, cash handling, equipment, and facility cleanliness. The Assistant Manager may also assist with staff onboarding, training, scheduling, and other administrative responsibilities as directed by the NIBCO Manager. Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as required by facility operations.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with monitoring facility inventory and identifying equipment, concession, and operational supplies that need to be ordered or replenished. Assist with the orientation and training of seasonal employees and supervisory staff. Maintain and update required facility logs, records, checklists, and reports. Verify that daily cash reports and NIBCO deposits are accurate, properly documented, secured, and submitted according to established procedures. Provide on-site supervision and leadership during assigned shifts. Assign staff to appropriate work areas, coordinate breaks and rotations, and make operational adjustments as needed. Monitor employee performance and ensure staff follow established policies, procedures, safety expectations, and customer-service standards. Respond to patron concerns, employee issues, injuries, incidents, and other situations that occur during assigned shifts and notify the NIBCO Manager when appropriate. Ensure opening, operating, and closing procedures are completed accurately and thoroughly. Monitor the facility throughout the shift to ensure cleanliness, safety, equipment readiness, and an appropriate experience for patrons.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Report damaged, missing, unsafe, or malfunctioning equipment to the NIBCO Manager and assist with corrective action as directed. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the NIBCO Manager. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Operations Manager. Assist with inventory control and the proper care, organization, storage, and routine inspection of facility equipment and supplies.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school education, GED, or equivalent required. Must be a minimum age of 18 years. Must have a valid Driver's License
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Good verbal and written communication skills. High school education Ability to prepare and maintain a variety of records and reports. Computer skills and knowledge of software programs such as Microsoft Word, Google Sheets, Google Drive, and Microsoft Excel
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND VISUAL SKILLS
Must be able to spend several hours on your feet patrolling park staff and patrons
