Seeking an enthusiastic leader skilled and experienced in theatrical lighting and audio, excited to continue honing their skills as a stage electrician, programmer, and designer. Exceptional candidates will have technical experience with local and touring productions. They will also demonstrate excellent client service, team management skills, and artistic vision. Importantly, we are seeking an individual passionate about cultivating a culture of respect, curiosity, artistic expression, and growth.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field is preferred. Experience may be substituted for education if relevant skills, knowledge and abilities have been demonstrated.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, analyze and make decisions related to program content. Strong coordination skills required to prioritize conflicting deadlines. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are required. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Experience supervising a team.
Advanced knowledge of electrical loads, dimming systems, and basic electrical theory for safe operation of production systems. Proficiency with ETC EOS lighting consoles. Advanced knowledge of intelligent and conventional lighting fixtures and systems. Demonstrated experience with entertainment networking protocols.
Familiarity with OSHA standards, fire codes, and basic workplace safety practices. Certifications are a plus. Proficiency with MAC OS and Google Suite.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism. Ability to remain calm, adaptable, kind, and solutions-oriented in fast-paced environments. Ability to withstand long hours of concentrated physical activity, including overhead reaching and lifting 75+ pounds. Ability to climb ladders and work at heights over 20 feet. Able to move heavy equipment and work with various power tools and electronic systems. Able to work outdoors in inclement weather.
Pay and Benefits
Individual starting salary will depend on qualifications, certifications, and experience. The City also provides a comprehensive and competitive benefits package.
Schedule
Monday - Saturday, schedule varies based on programming. Evenings and weekends are required for this position.
