Job Description
Musicality Music Academy is expanding, and we need an experienced piano instructor to join our roster. Lessons take place at a well-established faith-based venue in Sun City, where you'll have a dedicated, fully equipped teaching room (piano and keyboard supplied) and a steady stream of students already booked in — kids, teens, and adults alike. Beyond weekly lessons, your students can take part in recitals and ensemble events as they progress. You'd be joining as an independent contractor under an established private studio run by the Music Director — a conservatoire-trained pianist whose students have earned national press coverage for their achievements. Recruiting students, scheduling, billing, and paperwork are all handled for you; your only job is to teach. Compensation & commitment $35-40/hour based on experience and qualifications, paid monthly (1099 contractor) We're hoping to fill this position with someone able to stay on through June 2027 at minimum Qualifications A degree in piano performance, music, or music education (or comparable hands-on teaching experience) A track record of teaching piano to students spanning different ages and skill levels Solid technique and sight-reading ability, comfortable moving between classical, popular, and hymn/church repertoire A patient, encouraging style that works well with both kids and their parents Dependability is non-negotiable — families structure their weekly routines around lesson times Background in church or faith-community music settings is a plus Must hold (or be willing to obtain before starting) a fingerprint clearance card Perks of the position We bring the students to you — zero marketing or lead-chasing required Fixed teaching location with equipment and a waiting area already set up Genuine room to grow as the academy adds more students and programs Led by someone who's worked as a professional musician and knows what good teaching requires To apply Send your resume.
