Private Music Teacher Redlands Conservatory of Music Redlands, CA Job Details Part-time $20 - $40 an hour 18 hours ago Qualifications Music Experience working with children Bachelor's degree Ballet Organizational skills Community relationship building Full Job Description Job Overview The Redlands Conservatory of Music is seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join our education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in piano instruction and a love for teaching students of all ages. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, fostering a positive learning environment, and helping students develop their musical skills and appreciation for music. Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to each student's skill level and musical interests. Teach piano techniques, music theory, and performance skills in a structured manner. Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to enhance their learning experience. Create a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that fosters student confidence and creativity. Organize recitals or performances to showcase student achievements and promote community engagement. Collaborate with other instructors to integrate interdisciplinary approaches, such as incorporating elements of ballet, theater, or early childhood education into lessons when appropriate. Maintain open communication with students and their families regarding progress and areas for improvement. Skills Bachelors in music (preferred but not required) Proficiency in piano performance and teaching methods. Strong organizational skills for lesson planning and classroom management. Ability to educate students effectively while adapting teaching styles to meet diverse learning needs. Experience in tutoring or providing childcare can be beneficial for understanding student dynamics. Knowledge of related arts such as ballet, theater, or sewing can enhance the educational experience offered to students. Excellent communication skills to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues. A passion for music education and a commitment to fostering a love of music in students of all ages.
