Music Teacher The Studios Brookhaven Brookhaven, GA Job Details Contract $40 - $50 an hour 17 hours ago Qualifications Piano Personal service experience with children Experience working with children Working with students Teaching instrumental performance Full Job Description In-Home Music Instructor - Piano, Guitar and Voice Your Lesson At Home, the in-home music lesson program of The Studios Brookhaven, is seeking engaging and dependable music instructors to teach private lessons in students' homes throughout the Atlanta area, with our greatest current demand in Brookhaven and surrounding neighborhoods. The Studios Brookhaven is Brookhaven's largest performing arts and athletics facility, serving hundreds of children and families each week through music, dance, theatre, athletics and enrichment programs. Your Lesson At Home allows us to bring that same approach directly into our students' homes. We currently have a waiting list of families and are looking for instructors who can begin as early as the week of August 24. What We're Looking For Our greatest need is for piano instructors who are comfortable teaching beginner through intermediate students, with opportunities to teach more advanced students depending on experience. We are also seeking instructors for:

Piano:

Ages 5+

Loog Guitar:

Ages 5+

Traditional Guitar:

Ages 7+

Voice:

Ages 5+ Instructors who can teach multiple instruments are especially encouraged to apply. For us, being a great fit is about much more than simply being a good musician. Many of our students are young beginners, and we are looking for teachers who are warm, outgoing, patient and genuinely enjoy working with kids. We want our students to learn proper technique, rhythm, note reading and musicianship, but we also want them to look forward to their lesson every week. Building a real connection with each student and making music something they enjoy is a huge part of what we do. Compensation This is a 1099 independent contractor position. $25-$30 per 30-minute private lesson $50 for a one-hour block teaching two back-to-back siblings in the same home Because these are in-home lessons, instructors should have reliable transportation and be comfortable traveling to students within their preferred teaching area. Scheduling Our primary need is during after-school and early evening hours on weekdays. Scheduling can be built around your availability and geographic area. We already have families waiting for instructors, so qualified teachers may be able to begin teaching as early as the week of August 24. Ideal Candidates We would love to hear from experienced music teachers, working musicians, college music or theatre students, performers, actors and others with a strong musical background who genuinely enjoy teaching children.
