We've been part of the Sandy Springs community for more than 20 years, and we're looking for someone who wants more than just a few scattered teaching hours. We currently have established piano students ready to transition to a new instructor , with the opportunity to continue growing your schedule as your availability increases. Who We're Looking For Our ideal instructor is someone who is confident teaching piano from beginner through advanced levels and genuinely enjoys working with students. You should be comfortable teaching a mix of children, teenagers, and adults and be able to adjust your teaching style to the individual student. We'd especially love to meet someone who: Has previous private piano teaching experience Has strong piano, sight-reading, theory, and general musicianship skills Is comfortable teaching beginner, intermediate, and advanced students Makes lessons engaging while still helping students make real progress Is patient and encouraging with younger students Communicates well with parents, students, and our staff Is dependable, punctual, and professional Wants to develop long-term relationships with students Is interested in becoming a consistent part of our teaching team A music degree is welcome but not required . We care just as much about your ability to play, teach, communicate, and connect with students. Experience with voice, composition, music theory, ABRSM, or additional instruments is also a plus. Your Schedule We currently have multiple teaching days available , generally between approximately 3:00-8:00 PM and Saturday mornings from 9:00 AM-2:00 PM. You do not need to be available every day. If you can consistently teach one or two afternoons each week, we'd still like to hear from you. If you're looking for more hours, there is also the opportunity to take on additional days and grow your schedule over time . One of the biggest advantages of this opening is that you won't necessarily be starting from zero. We have existing students who need a great teacher, and we're looking for the right person to take care of them. Compensation & Benefits $36-$40 per teaching hour , depending on experience and qualifications. We also offer health, dental, and vision benefits to instructors who meet our minimum eligibility requirements. As your availability and student schedule grow, there is room to take on additional teaching hours and build a larger role within the studio. About Sandy Springs Music Sandy Springs Music is a locally owned music school that has served Sandy Springs and the North Atlanta community for more than 20 years. We teach hundreds of lessons each month and have built our studio around long-term relationships with our students, families, and instructors. Our teachers get to focus on what they do best: teaching music. Our office handles scheduling, billing, customer communication, and bringing new students into the studio. We want our instructors spending their time preparing for lessons and working with students — not chasing payments or trying to find their next student.
