Job Description

Piano Teacher / Piano Instructor Descant Music and Art Studio in Holyoke, MA is looking for a part-time piano teacher to join our studio. This is a 1099 independent contractor position . We're looking for someone who is personable, dependable, comfortable working one-on-one with students, and has a strong background as a pianist. Prior teaching experience is not required. What matters more to us is solid piano experience, strong musicianship, and the ability to connect with students and make lessons enjoyable and productive. The Role You'll teach private piano lessons to students of varying ages and experience levels at our Holyoke studio. We provide the teaching space, instruments, and students, so you do not need to recruit your own students or maintain your own studio.
Responsibilities include:
Teaching one-on-one piano lessons Helping students develop strong technique, music reading, musicianship, and confidence Adapting lessons to each student's goals, interests, and experience level Maintaining a consistent and reliable teaching schedule Communicating with studio administration as needed What We're Looking For Strong personal experience as a pianist Solid music reading and musicianship skills Friendly, patient, engaging personality Dependability and good communication Genuine interest in helping students learn and improve Experience teaching piano is a plus, but not a requirement. A music degree is also not required. We're much more interested in finding a strong musician who works well with students and is excited to teach.
