Job Description

North Reading High School Marching Band is seeking Flag Squad Advisor. North Reading Public Schools is actively looking to build a diverse workforce to ensure all students feel welcome, safe, and valued for who they are and supported to reach their potential.

Essential duties Monitor the Colorguard at rehearsals and competitions

Choreograph auxiliary work, flag work, and body for the marching band shows

Assist in the design and implementation of the marching band show

Other duties as assigned by Marching Band Advisor, Assistant Marching Band Advisor, Director of Athletics and Student Activities, and/or their Designee

Requirements

Strong technical background as a performer or instructor in marching band auxiliary units

Ability to demonstrate and teach fundamental flag components

At least two (2) years of prior experience

Ability to independently compose, arrange, and choreograph visual flag and dance routines that complement the marching band's field show
