Job Description

Teach elementary general music (grades 1-5) and middle school (grades 6-8) band electives using school-provided curricula and lesson plans.
Collaborate with the drama department to help prepare 3rd-5th grade students for their performances using pre-recorded music and choreography videos.
Control the sound system and music for grade level shows.
Maintain a safe, positive, and productive classroom environment through effective classroom management and consistent enforcement of classroom expectations.
Cultivate leadership opportunities for pathway scholars within the Beginning Band program
Foster a welcoming and accepting classroom that prioritizes kindness and creativity while also maintaining high standards and musicianship.
Attend Elective/Enrichment team meetings to maintain continuity with the instructional team.
Keep accurate records of student work, academic progress, participation and preparedness and communicate student grades to the Director of Fine Arts weekly.
