Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic K-12 Music Teacher to inspire students through the transformative power of music. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive music curricula tailored to various grade levels, ensuring alignment with educational standards and student needs Deliver engaging classroom instruction that incorporates a variety of teaching methods, including technology integration and hands-on activities Assess student performance regularly through observations, performances, and standardized testing; analyze data to inform instructional strategies Adapt lessons and instructional modifications to accommodate diverse learning styles, special education needs, and students with disabilities Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management and behavior management techniques Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, lesson planning, and sharing best practices in music education Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, upcoming performances, and classroom activities to build strong home-school connections Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other learning technology tools to enhance instruction and track student progress Support inclusive education by working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds and implementing culturally responsive teaching practices Organize and supervise student performances, concerts, and recitals that showcase their musical growth Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications preferred Valid teaching certification for K-12 music education in the applicable region Proven experience in classroom teaching within elementary or secondary schools; private school or Montessori experience is a plus Strong knowledge of music theory, literacy education, math integration related to music concepts, and standardized testing preparation Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs; familiarity with special education strategies is highly desirable Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems (LMS), learning technology tools, and digital resources for instruction Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and teacher collaboration Skilled in curriculum development, implementation, lesson planning, and instructional modifications based on individual student needs Demonstrated ability in classroom management, behavior management techniques, and fostering an inclusive learning environment Knowledge of childhood development principles and ability to adapt lessons accordingly Experience working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds; sensitivity to multicultural educational settings Join us as a K-12 Music Teacher where your enthusiasm for music will ignite students' passions while shaping their academic journey. Pay:
$24.68 - $29.72 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 per week
