Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Piano Instructor to inspire students of all ages to discover the joy of music through piano performance and creative arts. In this role, you will deliver engaging lessons that foster musical growth, technical skill, and artistic expression. Your enthusiasm for teaching and dedication to student development will help cultivate a vibrant learning environment where students can thrive creatively and technically. Duties Develop customized piano curricula that cater to students' skill levels, interests, and learning goals, incorporating elements of music theory, technique, and performance. Conduct engaging individual and group piano lessons for students across various age groups, from children to adults. Incorporate creative arts instruction such as choreography, dance, theater, and visual arts into lessons to enhance overall artistic development. Manage classroom dynamics effectively by maintaining a positive, disciplined environment that encourages participation and confidence. Prepare students for performances, recitals, or exams by guiding practice routines and offering constructive feedback. Collaborate with other instructors to design interdisciplinary programs that integrate musical instruments, theater arts, photography, sewing, culinary arts, or childhood development activities. Track student progress regularly and communicate achievements or areas for improvement to parents or guardians as appropriate. Requirements Proven experience in teaching music, specifically piano performance, with a strong understanding of curriculum development tailored to diverse learners. Demonstrated classroom management skills that foster a supportive and motivating learning atmosphere. Experience working with children and youth programs, with an understanding of childhood development principles. Knowledge of visual & performing arts including choreography, dance instruction, theater experience, and creative arts education. Skills in teaching instrumental performance along with familiarity in choreography and dance instruction. Ability to work with students of varying ages and skill levels while maintaining professionalism and patience. Background in teaching arts such as photography or sewing is a plus; familiarity with culinary arts or dancing is beneficial. Strong communication skills combined with a passion for inspiring creativity through music and the arts. Pay:
$26.00 - $30.00 per hour
