We are seeking a passionate, dependable, and student-focused Voice Instructor who is excited to help students discover their unique voice, develop strong vocal technique, and grow in confidence as performers. Our ideal instructor is not only a skilled vocalist, but also an encouraging teacher and mentor who can meet students where they are and help them reach their individual goals. Responsibilities Provide engaging, individualized one-on-one voice lessons for students of varying ages and experience levels Develop personalized lesson plans based on each student's goals, abilities, interests, and vocal development Teach healthy vocal technique, including: Breath support and control Posture and alignment Vocal placement and resonance Vocal registers and transitions Diction and articulation Pitch and intonation Vocal health and care Warm-ups and vocal exercises Develop musicianship skills including music theory, sight-singing, ear training, rhythm, and basic music reading Help students develop confidence, stage presence, performance skills, and effective communication Teach a variety of vocal styles, which may include classical, pop, contemporary, musical theatre, rock, worship, country, and other styles Help students select appropriate repertoire based on their voice, age, skill level, and goals Prepare students for recitals, auditions, competitions, musical theatre productions, performances, and other opportunities Encourage students to develop their own musical identity, artistry, and creativity Create a positive, encouraging, and safe environment where students feel comfortable taking risks and growing Track student progress and provide meaningful feedback to students and parents Maintain lesson notes, scheduling information, and student records as needed Communicate professionally and consistently with parents, students, and the ARA team Participate in recitals, performances, community events, workshops, and other ARA activities when applicable Collaborate with other instructors and continue developing professionally as a musician and educator Qualifications Strong vocal ability and musicianship Knowledge of healthy vocal technique and vocal pedagogy Ability to teach beginning through advanced students Comfortable working with children, teens, and/or adults Experience performing and/or teaching voice preferred, but not required for the right candidate Ability to teach multiple vocal styles and adapt instruction to different student goals Strong communication and interpersonal skills Patient, encouraging, and adaptable teaching style Professional, dependable, and organized Ability to create an environment where students feel supported and confident Comfortable preparing students for performances and auditions Commitment to continued musical and professional growth Additional Skills We Love Experience or expertise in any of the following is a plus: Musical theatre and audition preparation Classical voice and art song Pop/contemporary vocal styles Belting and contemporary vocal technique Vocal performance and stage presence Harmony and ensemble singing Songwriting and composition Worship music Choir or choral directing Acting or movement for performers Early childhood music and vocal instruction Accompanying yourself on piano or guitar Recording, songwriting, or music production What Makes Anthem Road Academy Different?
