In this role, you will develop tailored lesson plans, foster a love for music and the arts, and create engaging learning environments that promote growth, creativity, and confidence. The ideal candidate will bring energy, expertise, and a nurturing approach to help students unlock their full artistic potential. Responsibilities Design and implement customized lesson plans that cater to individual student goals, skill levels, and interests across various musical instruments and arts disciplines. Deliver engaging instruction in music theory, instrumental performance, choreography, dance instruction, theater arts, photography, sewing, culinary arts, childcare, early childhood education, preschool activities, and other creative arts. Manage classroom environments effectively by applying strong classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies to ensure a positive learning atmosphere. Work with students of diverse ages—including children, youth, and adults—fostering their development through tailored teaching methods that support childhood development and special education needs. Incorporate curriculum development best practices to enhance lesson quality and student engagement while integrating creative arts instruction such as choreography, dance (including ballet), theater performance, and visual arts. Support students' progress through ongoing assessment, constructive feedback, and adaptive lesson planning that promotes continuous improvement. Collaborate with parents or guardians when necessary to communicate student progress and encourage at-home practice or creative projects. Qualifications Proven experience working with children and youth programs teaching experience in the arts or related fields. Strong background in teaching music or performing arts with expertise in musical instruments, dance (including ballet), choreography, theater experience, or visual arts such as photography. Demonstrated ability to develop curricula that incorporate lesson planning across multiple disciplines including culinary arts or sewing as part of creative arts instruction. Excellent classroom management skills combined with behavior management techniques suited for early childhood education or preschool settings. Knowledge of childhood development principles and experience with special education or accommodating diverse learning needs is preferred. Ability to work effectively with students of varying ages while maintaining a positive and motivating attitude. Flexibility to adapt lessons for adult education or tutoring sessions as needed.
