Job Description

Join One of Charlotte's Most Respected Music Schools! For more than 15 years, Ballantyne School of Music has built a reputation for exceptional music instruction, meaningful student relationships, and a workplace where teachers genuinely enjoy coming to work. We're seeking a passionate, dependable guitar and piano instructors to join our professional teaching team on Tuesday and/or Thursday afternoons from 3:00-8:00PM at our Indian Land SC studio and Saturdays 10:00AM-2:00PM at our beautiful new Carmel Village Charlotte studio. We are also looking for substitute music instructors to teach at both locations Mondays-Thursdays and Saturdays. At Ballantyne School of Music, our instructors are respected, supported, and never feel like they're teaching alone. We provide a welcoming, professionally managed studio, outstanding administrative support, quality students, regular performance opportunities, and a collaborative culture where teachers inspire one another. Our students range from ages 6 through adult, and our programs include private lessons, recitals, and performance ensembles that make teaching both rewarding and fun! A music degree is welcome but not required. We value outstanding teaching ability, professionalism, reliability, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed. Previous teaching experience is preferred, and experience performing or teaching multiple instruments is a plus. Applicants should live within approximately 45 minutes of our studio and be available for a minimum four-hour teaching schedule as they build their student roster.
