Key Qualifications:

Hold a valid Minnesota DAPE license (required for consideration) Recent experience or training as an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher, preferably within a school setting Strong communication skills—able to consult, collaborate, and communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents Knowledge of adaptive physical education assessments, goal setting, lesson planning, and documentation Ability to foster a supportive and adaptive classroom atmosphere for students with varying physical and developmental needs

Responsibilities:

Provide individualized and group adaptive physical education instruction tailored for middle-school students Develop and implement IEP goals in cooperative partnership with education teams and families Assess students' abilities, create progress reports, and adapt lessons to maximize participation and success Contribute to team meetings, plan activities, and ensure compliance with legal and district guidelines Rotate between two middle school campuses while maintaining cohesive service delivery and strong relationships with both school communities
