Job Description

Description The Department of Government at Dartmouth College invites applications for a Visiting Professor from Israel to conduct research and teach in the department during the 2027-28 academic year. Candidates who are pursuing research and teaching related to Israel's domestic politics or foreign/security relations, broadly construed, are particularly encouraged to apply. The appointment is for 1 or 2 terms during any of Dartmouth's four 10-week quarters. The successful candidate will teach 1 undergraduate course, related to Israeli politics, for each academic term in residence. Ideally applicants will have experience teaching a version of the proposed course. The visiting professor will give a public lecture while at Dartmouth. The candidate's research and teaching interests would ideally position them to develop productive relationships with faculty and postdoctoral fellows in Dartmouth's intellectual community. Qualifications Ph.D. in Political Science or a related field. Applicants must have a research/teaching position at an Israeli university.
