Floating Center Director Full-Time | Multi-Center Leadership Role | Education & Operations Focus Are you passionate about education, developing instructors, and helping students build confidence in math? We're looking for a Floating Center Director to support multiple Mathnasium Learning Centers. This is a unique leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in different environments, and wants to make an impact across multiple teams and centers. Unlike a traditional Center Director role focused primarily on the performance of one location, this position will provide educational, instructional, and operational leadership across multiple centers , stepping in where support is needed most. The Opportunity As a Floating Center Director , you'll work across multiple Mathnasium locations, partnering with Center Directors and other leaders to strengthen the educational experience and provide additional leadership wherever it is needed. One day you may be supporting a center's instructional floor and coaching its instructor team. Another day you may be conducting assessments, reviewing Learning Plans, meeting with parents about student progress, or stepping in to provide leadership coverage at another location. This role is ideal for someone who understands that great center leadership happens both on the instructional floor and behind the scenes . You'll have the opportunity to develop relationships with multiple teams, identify opportunities for improvement, and help ensure our educational standards are consistently executed across the centers you support. What You'll Do Educational Leadership Help ensure students receive effective, engaging instruction utilizing the Mathnasium Method Review student assessments and educational needs to help determine appropriate instructional priorities Support the development, implementation, and ongoing management of student Learning Plans Monitor student progress and identify opportunities for adjustments or additional support Help ensure educational processes and Mathnasium instructional standards are consistently followed Partner with Center Directors and instructional teams to strengthen the overall quality of education within each center Floor Management & Instructor Development Lead and support the instructional floor during student sessions Coach instructors on effective instructional techniques and student engagement Observe instructor performance and provide actionable feedback Help develop Lead Instructors and other emerging leaders Support appropriate student-to-instructor ratios and effective floor management Identify instructional challenges and work with center leadership to develop solutions Model excellent Mathnasium instruction, leadership, and professionalism Student & Family Experience Build strong relationships with students and families across the centers you support Conduct student progress conversations and educational meetings with parents Help families understand student progress, Learning Plans, and educational recommendations Address parent questions and concerns professionally and thoughtfully Ensure families receive a consistent, welcoming, and high-quality experience regardless of location Assessments & Enrollment Support Conduct student assessments and communicate results clearly with families Explain educational recommendations and Mathnasium programs based on student needs Support enrollment conversations when needed Help ensure new students transition smoothly from assessment and enrollment into instruction Partner with Center Directors to support student retention and long-term family relationships Multi-Center Operational Support Provide leadership coverage across multiple Mathnasium locations based on business and staffing needs Step into centers during leadership vacancies, PTO, training, or other periods requiring additional support Quickly learn the needs, team dynamics, and priorities of each center Partner with Center Directors, District Managers, and other leaders to identify opportunities for improvement Help reinforce consistent systems, processes, and expectations across locations Support special projects, training initiatives, and educational priorities as needed What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree required 1-2+ years of experience in education, tutoring, instructional leadership, learning center management, or a related field Strong understanding of math concepts and confidence supporting math instruction Experience working directly with children and families Strong instructional coaching and leadership skills Ability to provide feedback in a supportive, clear, and actionable way Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across different locations Comfortable adapting quickly to different teams, students, and center environments Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with Center Directors and District leadership Strong judgment, empathy, tact, and professionalism Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace Ability and willingness to travel regularly between assigned Mathnasium locations Flexibility to work afternoons, evenings, and occasional weekends based on center needs What Success Looks Like Success in this role isn't simply about the performance of one center.
